Exclusive, safe guided nature treks
Native Nature Tours guided treks in the unspoilt forest are safe and exclusive. We never take more than 12 visitors into the bush at one time. By limiting the number of visitors in this way, we protect the natural environment and ensure you experience the tranquility of the forest in its natural state. You won't run into any other people on our nature treks.
Native Nature Tours bush treks always follow existing animal paths rather than creating new walking tracks in the forest. That way, Native Nature Tours further minimise any possible impact on the natural environment.
A guided nature trek to suit your fitness level
Our treks are suitable for any level of fitness.
We want you to enjoy your trek, so our guides will assess the group fitness before you start out. If they have any concerns; your trek may be changed to an easier option of the same value.
Our Sacred Mountain Trek would be the hardest and is recommended only for those with a good level of fitness. This 8-9 hour guided trek will leave you spellbound with its panoramic views.
Our Kaitoki Trek can be varied depending on your level of fitness. Regardless of which variation you take, you'll be delighted by the natural environment around you.
We also provide custom treks based on your length of stay with us, your fitness level and your interests.
We can even arrange for other water-based activities or a visit to the Waitangi Treaty grounds… Just ask!
